The wood for the Ash Knob Handle is sustainably harvested in Somerset, England and adds a special natural touch. Ash wood is a European wood known to be strong and flexible. Because of its ability to take heavy knocks and bear tension, ash wood was favored for joists and building beams before the extensive use of steel. The ash tree is also known believed to have protective and evil-repelling properties, making it the traditional material for shepard's crooks. Ash wood has a pale gray bark.
The natural gray bark is preserved and polished on the knob handle.
The canopy is available in Racing Green or Green Tartan. Please specify your preference when ordering.
