Star Canes, Super Light Carbon Derby, Regular and Petite
The Super Light Carbon Canes are not just the lightest canes at CaneMart, they are among the lightest canes you will find anywhere! Constructed with very strong carbon graphite these canes come in at under 8 ounces, even though they are full size and can support up to 250 pounds of user weight. The classic English-style Derby Handle Cane is available in both Regular and Petite. The Derby Cane is the most popular handle shape among the British. Invented by Lord Derby, it can be hooked over the arm when not in use, is extremely comfortable to hold, and has an elegant appearance with more flourish than a crook handle. The Regular size is available in Mesh Gray. The Petite size is available in Mesh Blue and Burlwood Red. The maximum length is 37", but it can be cut to size.

NOTE: All two piece canes with metal band connectors are designed for style and are not meant to be weight bearing canes. Generally, canes are to be used for balance and stability, not for full weight support. All canes regardless of style are meant to have weight placed over the top of the main shaft and not at an angle putting pressure on the ends. Proper use of the cane is essential for your safety.

I bought this cane to use at my son's wedding. I was happy with how light it was, and the shaft appeared to be strong. However, I didn't find out until I used it that each time the cane fell to a hard surface a chip broke out of the handle, exposing a white foam core. This was not an isolated incident, as it seemed that every time it fell to a hard surface a chunk was taken out of the handle. After a few days, I ended up with a black cane with white chunks taken out of the handle. This made me question the integrity of the rest of the cane. Because of this, I will no longer be using this cane. I would suggest to anyone considering this cane that you chose something else. There are many other canes to chose from that don't fall apart so easily.
