I purchased this cane a few years ago when I was recovering from a total ankle replacement, and it was wonderful. I have arthritis of the right hand which held the cane, so it was extremely important that the cane not flare the arthritis pain. It did not.
Someone then gave me a richly ornamented derby style cane but, strangely, it didn't help with the arthritis in the hand. I thought that that ornamented cane would be more chick but it never brought me compliments. The old Chrome Anatomical Derby Cane, however, did bring many compliments. Its flowing lines and sleek style with the chrome handle and black cane were classic in style and caught many an eye and brought on a number of compliments. Yet it was the comfort that I loved. On our last trip, in the hassle of de-boarding the ship, my cane was left behind. All of our calls to the ship were fruitless as someone else was now enjoying my cane and it was never returned
I cannot express in words my loss. I've no excuse to buy a new one
as I have a "perfectly good cane," but I really don't. The "Chrome Anatomical Derby Cane," especially designed for the right hand, brought me true comfort, prevented arthritic flares of the hand, and protected my aching foot. I cannot recommend this cane highly enough.
It is hoped this review will steer cane purchasers to this cane and bring the same comfort and joy to them as it did for me.
