The shaft is made of Beech Wood which has been lacquered an elegant black. Please note that the Nickel-Plated Handle is hollow in order to keep the cane at a comfortable carrying weight. The Derby Cane is the most popular handle shape among the British. Invented by Lord Derby, it can be hooked over the arm when not in use, is extremely comfortable to hold, and has an elegant appearance with more flourish than a crook handle. The maximum length is 36", but it can be cut to size. For enhanced safety and durability, this cane is equipped with a s rubber tip. This cane is designed, produced, and assembled exclusively by a small family-owned company in Italy.
