This Imported Cane has a Crook Handle. The Crook Cane, otherwise known as a Tourist, Hook or J-Handle, is the most traditional of cane handles. It remains one of the most popular styles as the Crook Handle conveniently hooks over an arm or a table edge when not in use.
This cane is made of Solid Hazel Wood, which is known to be a tough, but flexible wood.
Hazel Wood has a rich dark brown bark, which is preserved and polished on the shaft of the cane. On the crook handle, the bark is peeled away to reveal the light smooth heartwood. Hazel wood has knots, but not as large or distinctive knots as oak or congo wood. Because of the little shaping work done on the cane each will very slightly in its measurements. This cane comes in the standard length of 36", but can be cut to size.
